Installation of corner guards, edge protection profiles and corner protection angles

With more than 30 years of experience in the German and European markets, your ASM-Profile GmbH team as a specialist for corner protection angles is always at your side with advice and help.

The montage guidelines given by us are based on more than 30 years of experience in the processing of our profiles and guarantee the perfect application. In the case of deviating mounting designs, we can not guarantee the correct use of the profiles, unless a written confirmation of the modified assembly is made by us.

Mounting Corner protection angle / edge protection profiles for gluing or self-adhesive
Installation corner protection angle

Prior to assembly, remove all stainless steel profiles with commercially available cleaners to ensure adhesion of the adhesive. Before installation, thoroughly clean the substrate. It is important to ensure that when the edge protection profiles   are attached, the substrate is straight, firm and free of grease. Loose points must be filled with force.

[Nbsp]

Clean the tiles or the wall covering with nitro-thinner. For the gluing of the stainless steel profiles, silicone or building glue can be used. Observe the compatibility of the glue and the substrate. In the "self-adhesive" version offered by us, the back of the stainless steel leak guard is equipped with butyl keg. Remove the cover tape of the butyl adhesive as described above. Place the corner guard on the bottom and press evenly from bottom to top. In order to ensure safety by means of the adhesive force of the butyl adhesive on the wall surface, carry out adhesive tests before mounting.

Do not remove the protective film of the profiles until the final cleaning!

Installation Corner guards / Edge protection profiles with anchor or anchor rail
Corner Guards made of Stainless Steel

Before assembly, degrease all profiled parts of the stainless steel profiles with standard detergents to ensure adhesion of the grout. Before installation, thoroughly clean the subfloor, ensure that the subfloor is secure when the corner protector profiles are attached. Loose points must be filled with force-fitting so that a flat bearing surface is created for the anchors.

It is fastened by means of a screw and dowel (at least 6 mm) at a maximum distance of 30 cm. If the substrate is not very firm, reduce the clearance. The joint between the corner protector profile and the wall tile should be designed with a normal jointing distance and be grounded as far as the base. In the case of stainless steel edge protection profiles with a continuous anchor bar, it is possible to fix it with a tile glue but it is important to ensure that the glue glue penetrates the perforation of the anchor bar fully. The joint between the corner protector profile and the wall tile should be designed with a normal jointing distance and be grounded as far as the base. Do not remove the protective film of the profiles until the final cleaning!
